About The Act

The Horizons is a group of extremely talented musicians bringing the best pop, rock and soul party music to stages and dance floors globally. The band is fronted by two fantastic vocalists, who have experience running through their dancing tippy toes to the top of their gorgeous and handsome heads. The band’s lead female vocalist has worked in performance production for many years and has vocal tones reminiscent of Whitney Houston. The band’s male vocalist who has reached the final stages of both The Voice and The X-Factor has a distinctively smooth tone and beautiful falsetto allowing him to hit the highs of The Jackson 5, Prince, and flawlessly execute the smooth soul and pop classics. These vocalists with their expertise and incredibly professional and friendly personalities will win you and all of your guests round from the first song. The Horizons come as a 6-piece band, their line up is one male and one female lead vocal, guitar, bass, keys, and drums.

The band’s leading lady, Ruby, has studied Music and Dance at Northampton Institute, has toured the Mediterranean on cruise liners and been an integral part of show teams across the UK and abroad working with Frankie Goes To Hollywood and the dance group Uniting Nations. Her counterpart, Sean, has over 5 million views on YouTube and has been mentored by Celine Dion. They are a power team backed by a solid team of musos. Collectively the instrumentalists have studied at some of the most prestigious musical educational facilities in the UK and around the world, including the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, The Academy of Contemporary Music, University of Northampton and The Players School of Music in Florida; have supported the likes of Lemar, Blazin Squad, Diversity and Shane Ward; have performed at Wembley Arena, O2; toured the UK and the Mediterranean; and have played at the renowned 100 Club and Ronnie Scott’s; and played on BBC radio and Resonance FM radio station. I think you’ll agree that they’ve more than earned their stripes.

The Horizons belt out the band’s pop, funk, rock, and soul repertoire, from artists such as Clean Bandit, Rose Royce, and Prince. The band has a repertoire of over 250 songs covering the 1950s to the current top 40, and specialises in pop, rock, and soul, though their repertoire also covers Motown, jazz, and swing.

The Horizons were incredible at our wedding and had us dancing all night! Their choice of songs and their performance was perfect and so many people of all ages commented on how brilliant they were! Would definitely recommend!Phoebe, Wedding, North Yorkshire, 2018

Excellent evening with The Horizons – even threw in some classy Christmas tunes as an encore – we absolutely loved them and so did or guests – highly recommend and I would book again in a breath. Kept the party in full flow from beginning to end.Siobhan, Corporate Event, 2018

We opted for the 7 piece, which was just so good. Their set list was varied, fun and got everyone dancing from The Supremes to Prince. They let us pick the songs and learnt our first dance, making the evening so much fun. We really loved the whole time and they were a friendly bunch too. The day was over running but they setup very quickly and were flexible before and during the event. We were really looking forward to them as we planned the wedding and they didn’t disappoint.Daniel, Wedding, London, 2018

The Horizons had full attention from the start and a full dance floor throughout. The DJ service between sets was a good mix of numbers meeting our requirements. Ours was an intergenerational event – 21st birthday so lots of 20+ years olds and 30th Wedding anniversary, so lots of 50-70 year olds! It didn’t matter, the set list covered all tastes. Great musicians and vocalist. Would highly recommend them for your event.Birthday Party & Wedding Anniversary Party, Surrey, 2018

Huge thanks to the whole gang for smashing such a cracking set list of hits for our thrilled guests at our wedding on 1st September! You were all so finely tuned from set up to the singing and created just the perfect party atmosphere for us! And we much appreciated your attention to detail on the few requests of family favourites we put your way! We can’t thank you enough!Olivia & Will, Wedding, South Yorkshire, 2018

The band was amazing. Very professional, worked with the dj seamlessly. We will definitely be booking them for my other daughters wedding. When they were doing their sound check, guests were saying wow, they sound good, then when they did their first of 3 sessions, amazing. Just wanted them to play all night. Can’t say enough. Thank you The HorizonsAlistair, Wedding, West Yorkshire, 2018

We booked The Horizons on the advice of our consultant, Rhona, who was really helpful with hearing our priorities and helping us choose the right band. That said, we only had YouTube to go from, as we didn’t have time to see them live, so we weren’t entirely sure of their energy levels/performance vibe in real life. That said, they were AMAZING! The whole party loved them, they really went above and beyond (playing as backing singers for my husband at one point, and also playing the accompaniment to our flowers girls’ dance routine – at the request of two 8 year olds!) they were responsive, energetic, fantastic crowd pleasers and a really great experience. Book them now if you haven’t already!! The lead singers’ voices and stage presence was brilliant, we booked two brass pieces – well worth it.Hannah, Wedding, Sussex, 2017

We were a bit wary of booking a band over the internet without the opportunity to see them live in advance to make a decision. However we went for The Horizons mainly based on the reviews that were on the website. We were delighted with the result – the band really were amazing and we can’t recommend them enough. Numerous guests have commented about how good they were and how they were one of the best bands they have seen. Thank you so much! Ian, Wedding, Berkshire, 2017

The Horizons played at our wedding on 2nd June 2018 and I cannot recommend them enough! They were lovely people and incredibly talented! Our timings at the wedding didn’t go to plan and they were so flexible and willing to wait until we were ready for their sets. Before the day they were in regular communication and they sent us a playlist and gave us plenty of choice. We asked them to play our first dance and they were more than willing to practise it and made it perfect for us! Very talented, I highly recommend them.Jacqui, Wedding, Bedfordshire, 2016
