The Hot Shots - Pop Rock 3 to 4-piece Band

The Hot Shots members are highly in-demand session musicians, that love to burn the midnight oil, turn up the volume and rock out. The band's commitment to playing each song exactly like the record you love together with their fun-loving attitudes will have you and your guests dancing and singing along on the dance floor and hollering for 'one more tune' at the end of the night!

About The Act

This pop-rock band comes in a 3 or 4-piece line up to fit different floor spaces and hearts’ desires. This band is half British, half Swiss. Switzerland makes some pretty good cheese, but their musicianship is equally as tasty! The band is vocally led by Laurent, who is from Brighton, despite what his name might suggest! Collectively the band members have all studied at the prestigious British Institute of Modern Music (BIMM). The Hot Shots’s favourite bits of their repertoire is rock, followed swiftly by pop, indie, alternative, and folk. Laurent on vocals and guitar is backed by Ewan on bass and backing vocals, Alex on guitar and backing vocals, and Martin on drums and backing vocals. You might have seen these lads playing at the 100 Club, the Big Brother House, Larmer Tree Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival, 100 Wardour St, and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. The band has also had the honour of playing with Emeli Sande, Peter Andre, The Corrs, Jedward and The Voice and X-Factor finalists Jack Bruley, Katie Coleman, and Najwa Ezzaher.

The band has got an extensive repertoire of over 200 songs covering largely rock, pop, alternative, indie, folk, soul and other genres including Hawaiian, Latin, jazz, swing, jangle pop, holiday and acoustic across the decades – just take a look! Their lineup is lead vocals and guitar, bass, drums, and backing vocals and a second guitarist guitar for the 4-piece.

Once you’ve booked the band you can count on excellent and fast communication, as well as having full control over what songs the band plays on your special night. The band will make sure they’re 100% on the same page as you well in advance of your wedding. They’ll also bring their best party tricks for your guests to tap into between sets, including Alex showcasing playing Sweet Child O Mine guitar solo with his guitar on his knees, with the guitar behind his head and even with his teeth – definitely one to ask about!! The Hot Shots brings a full PA and lighting rig with them wherever they go.

Having a New Year’s Eve wedding, we knew we would need a band who could keep everyone dancing through to midnight and beyond. We were in safe hands with The Hot Shots. This isn’t your typical, cheesy wedding band – these guys are a proper indie outfit with an absolutely amazing stage presence and an impressive, wide-ranging repertoire. Whether they were banging out classics like ‘You Really Got Me’ by The Kinks or mastering modern-day hits like ‘Uptown Funk’, every song was epic and delivered with infectious energy. Our wedding party had a big age range (from people in their 20s to people in their 60s) and The Hot Shots had everyone on their feet immediately and for the entirety of three incredible 40min+ sets. We honestly couldn’t move for people dancing, jumping and singing along. It was absolutely perfect, and our guests have said repeatedly how much they loved it. In addition, in the build-up to the day, The Hot Shots’ communication and organisation was impeccable – warm, totally stress-free, and really exciting (we even met up for a pre-wedding cheeky pint to talk timings!) They handled the little extras – like announcements, dedicating songs, and counting us in to midnight – without a hitch. We’d recommend them without hesitation.Joe, Wedding, Norfolk, 2018

The Hot Shots were absolutely fantastic. We are both quite keen on our music and so getting this aspect of the wedding right was key. The set list they sent over looked good and we had enjoyed what we heard online, so all looked promising. From there, they surpassed our expectations in every single way. Musically, the guys are incredibly talented. Stage presence, atmosphere, [I could go on…!] they had it all. They were even great at working to my quite exacting requests around the music between their sets, which all went off without a hitch. We are still getting compliments from our wedding guests about how good the band were and I expect that to continue for some time to come!Lauren, Wedding, Buckinghamshire, 2018

We booked The Hot Shots after seeing them play at a wedding fair. They surpassed all of our expectations and played three fantastic sets. We’re still getting messages from people asking who they were, and how much fun they were. All the band members are super cool and accommodating. wouldn’t hesitate to book again if we are ever in need of a band. Holly, Wedding, Norfolk 2018

The Hot Shots were the perfect choice for us! Their music sets were brilliant with exactly the sort of music to get the guests up on their feet! After an initial hiccup with electricity (not their fault) they remained cool and managed to sort the problem in only a few minutes which really kept us relaxed. They learned and played our first dance which by their own admission is not their usual style of music but it was brilliant. By the end of the night, they have played all sorts of songs to cater for all generations, and ended up with some really brilliant songs to get everyone dancing and singing along. Thank you so much for helping to make our day so special!Hannah, Wedding, Norfolk, 2018

Best Band Ever!!! These guys played at our wedding last week and were brilliant, professional and to be honest bloody marvellous – everyone loved their music and had us on our feet right till the end of the day. Thanks guys xxFiona, Sussex, 2017

Just brilliant!! Their playlist catered for all and I lost count of the number of last songs, be prepared to be on your feet all night. So pleased we came across these guys, cannot recommend them enough. Thank you for a great evening of music.Patricia, Essex, 2017

The Hot Shots played at our wedding reception and absolutely smashed it! Kept the dance floor packed until midnight with hit after hit – the groom even had an epic guitar solo and a bit of crowd surfing. Lovely group of guys who fitted in around us and made it a night to remember – all our guests said you were incredible and wanted to book you for their weddings!Lauren, Devon, 2016
